Jaimie Zhao
President

Hi everyone! My name is Jaimie and I’m a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Studio Art. I have been a member of SWE since my freshman year and it has been a big part of my college journey. I am very excited to be President this year and plan events and opportunities that will be rewarding for our members. I hope to provide our members with meaningful connections, great opportunities, and helpful resources for them to succeed in their STEM careers. I am also looking forward to watching SWE grow and continue to be a positive community on campus!

Tejaswini Sudhakar
Vice President

I’m Tejaswini Sudhakar (call me Teju!) and I am the Vice-President for SWE CCNY. I am a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering and I am passionate about combining medicine and technology to advance the field of healthcare. I have been part of SWE for the last 3 years and I have gained very valuable professional development experience and amazing networks as a part of this chapter. I am looking forward to helping the engineering students with our resources. 

Tricia Marchese
Treasurer

My name is Tricia! I’m a senior studying chemical engineering, and I’m SWE’s Treasurer for this year. As a student, my research primarily involves electrochemistry and batteries, with the end goal of improving electric vehicles and working on a greener planet. I’ve benefited so much from being a part of SWE-CCNY, so I’m really looking forward to working with everyone and doing my part for this wonderful group.

Angileena Mathura
Secretary

Hi, I’m Angileena! I’m currently a senior pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering. SWE has created a safe, friendly, and relatable space for all our members, and I’m excited to enhance this experience by taking on the role of Secretary this year. I look forward to maintaining and creating new connections that will help our members achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders.

Opportunities Chair

Hello everyone! My name is Amraah. I’m currently an undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Engineering. As my fascination with structures and construction deepens, I have aspirations of pursuing a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. I’ve been part of SWE for a year, and I’m excited to take on the role of Opportunities Chair this year. My goal is to share valuable resources with the team that matches everyone’s interests. I’m hoping to make meaningful connections and help SWE members get professional experience.

Vividha Bhaskar
Sponsorship Chair

Hi! My name is Vividha, I am a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student. My involvement in SWE as a member and now as a chair has transformed my college journey. SWE’s events and initiatives have proven time and again to be catalysts in unlocking new career paths and experiences for both myself and our members. As the Sponsorship Chair of our vibrant SWE chapter, I have the privilege of reaching out to external organizations and companies that share our vision of fostering diversity, innovation, and excellence in engineering. The journey with SWE has taught me the power of partnerships. I look forward to setting up collaborations with industry pioneers to not only amplify the success of our events but also forge enduring relationships that invest in the diverse engineering minds of our chapter that are ready to shape the world.

Julianne Villar
Communications Chair

Hi everyone! My name is Julianne and I am a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering with a prospective minor in Public Policy. Having attended SWE events since my freshman year, they have been integral to shaping my love and passion for engineering. I am very excited to be Communications Chair for the ensuing year and provide SWE members with new opportunities to supplement their professional goals. Moreover, I hope to form meaningful connections with incoming, current, and past SWE members as to further expand my knowledge on varying areas of engineering.

Saanavi Goyal
Fundraising Chair

Hi everyone! My name is Saanavi Goyal and I am sophomore majoring in Computer Science, with a minor in Management and Business Administration. I have been a part of SWE since my freshman year, and I am so glad to continue my journey as the Fundraising Chair. I look forward to assisting in advancing SWE’s mission and making lasting connections that encourage women in the field of engineering!

Social Media & Design Co-Chair

Hi everyone! My name is Siema and I am a senior majoring in Computer Science, Public Health, and Psychology. I am interested in making medicine, health, and design accessible through technology! At SWE, I hope I can design meaningful posts that encourage our audience to participate in our strong community and also make people feel welcome. I am excited to communicate with you all here!

Hey everyone! My name is Kiane (they/them), I am in my 5th year majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Art. I’ve only recently joined SWE and it’s been an amazing adventure being a part of SWE so far! Hey everyone! My name is Aiza and I’m a senior majoring in Computer Science. I’m very passionate about web development and front-end design, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to indulge in those interests within SWE. I’ve recently joined this club and I’m excited to be apart of an amazing community driven to providing opportunities for everyone. I look forward to connecting with other members and helping to foster an inclusive community.

Hi everyone! My name is Kathrine, I’m a junior majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in anthropology. I’m most passionate about studying aerospace and flight safety. Although I’ve only been in SWE since last year, the relationships I’ve built and connections I’ve gained are irreplaceable. I’m looking forward to being the 2025 class rep and get to know all current and new members.

Daisy Roy
Class of 2026 Representative

Hi everyone! My name is Daisy. I am a junior transfer student, majoring in civil engineering at City College. I pursued an associate degree in engineering science at BMCC. I have been a member of SWE since last semester and being part of SWE was something I always wanted before even attending CCNY. I felt so inspired and empowered by this amazing community! I’m very excited to join this chapter’s extended E-board as your Class Representative for the Class of 2026 and will also be handling classes of 2024, 2025, and 2027 for some time. I’m looking forward to talking to you all; hearing the needs of our students and helping SWE meet their needs; also getting feedback from our students on how we can better serve them and improve our chapter. Throughout the year, I will be making announcements of our events and opportunities that will provide our members with valuable connections, incredible opportunities, and helpful resources for them to succeed in their STEM careers. It’s a pleasure to work with this amazing community. Can’t wait to meet everyone!
