Saanavi Goyal
President

Hey everyone! My name is Saanavi Goyal, and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Management and Business Administration. I have been a part of SWE since my freshman year and am honored to serve as the President this year. I am excited to lead our organization and continue advancing SWE’s mission at CCNY to support and empower women in engineering. I look forward to creating meaningful opportunities, fostering strong connections, and driving initiatives that will help our members thrive in their STEM careers. Let’s make this year impactful and memorable together!

Annah Singh
Vice President

Hello everyone! My name is Annah and I am the Vice President of SWE. Currently, I am a senior majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Economics. My primary career interests are in hardware and semiconductors, and I love learning how to design PCBs. I am newly active in SWE, and so very excited to be a part of such a robust and empowering community. I hope to meet you all soon and I am looking forward to forming a plethora of new connections!

Julianne Villar
Secretary

Hi everyone! My name is Julianne and I am junior majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Sociology. I was the past Communications Chair and am so greatful to return to SWE this school year as Secretary! Similar to SWE’s mission, it is very important to me to create spaces and provide opportunities for communities that are not historically at the forefront of fields such as engineering. I am excited to meet new and returning SWE members through our events this year! Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym, running/hiking, and baking.

My name is Hannah, and I am a senior mechanical engineering student. I am interested in 3D modeling, manufacturing, as well as robotics. I look forward to facilitating events for SWE-CCNY, working with my community, and meeting new people! Feel free to come by the SWE room and say hi!

Opportunities Chair

Hello everyone! My name is Amraah. I’m currently an undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Engineering. As my fascination with structures and construction deepens, I have aspirations of pursuing a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. I’ve been part of SWE for a year, and I’m excited to take on the role of Opportunities Chair this year. My goal is to share valuable resources with the team that matches everyone’s interests. I’m hoping to make meaningful connections and help SWE members get professional experience.

Ariana Ahmed
Sponsorship Chair

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be apart of the SWE e-board this year. My name is Ariana and I am a sophomore with a major in biomedical engineering. I am the sponsorship chair for SWE this year and really look forward to meeting everyone and creating meaningful connections. I cannot wait to become apart of SWE’s mission to empower women in STEM and help them grow. I have made many friends through SWE events last year and hope to foster the same supportive and empowering environment.

I’ve been actively involved with the Society of Women Engineers for over a year, and I’m excited to step into the role of Fundraising Chair this year. Hello, everyone! My name is Maria and I am currently a sophomore in the civil engineering major. I am a part of the CCNY Volleyball team and play tennis in my spare time. I love reading, and right now I’m making way through “All Quiet on the Western Front” by Erich Maria Remarque.

Design Chair

I was born and raised in Queens, NY. I am majoring in Applied Physics with a minor in Business Administration and Management. My strong interests in nanotechnology and neuroscience inspires me to pursue a career in Biomedical Engineering. Some fun facts about me is that I enjoy solo traveling, journaling, making pottery and playing video games.

I am a junior majoring in Environmental and Earth System Science and minoring in Science Learning and Public Engagement. I am very excited to join SWE as the Web Design Chair and it’s a phenomenal experience being able to be a part of a safe and empowering environment. I look forward to being one of the strongest technical support helping further SWE’s mission and encouraging all women in engineering!

Kathrine Owens
Senior Class Representative

Hi, I’m Kathrine! I’m the returning senior class representative majoring in mechanical engineering with a strong passion for aerospace. It’s been an incredible journey being part of SWE for the past three years, and it’s been an honor to serve as the class representative for the past year. My SWE experience has been truly rewarding, especially the opportunity to connect with amazing friends, receive support from inspiring mentors, and network with professionals in the industry. I’m excited to welcome both new and returning members this fall and continue building our community!
