Hi everyone! My name is Judy Liu and I am the President of the Society of Women Engineers. I am currently a senior majoring in computer science and minoring in psychology. I aspire to work in the healthcare industry using the skills I have gained through my projects and experiences. I’m thrilled to be SWE’s president where I have the opportunity to continue building a community dedicated to empowering women in STEM.  I’m excited to connect with others who share this vision! 

Yara Elmahy
Vice President

My name is Yara, and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science. Before college, I struggled to find clubs that truly resonated with me. That changed when I arrived at CCNY and joined SWE. It was a turning point in my college experience. Through industry panels, peer mentorship, and access to valuable resources, I gained meaningful insight into the engineering and technology fields and grew both professionally and personally. Most importantly, I found a supportive and welcoming community that empowers its members to succees. Because of the impact SWE had on me, I’m motivated to give back and help other students benefit from it the way I did. A fact about me is that I like learning new languages including Spanish, French, and Python. 

Shreyosee Chowdhury

Hi everyone! My name is Shreyosee Chowdhury, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the Secretary for the SWE 2025-26 e-board. I’m a junior majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Administration and Management. Through SWE, I’m looking forward to building a supportive community, hosting events that inspire growth, and creating opportunities for collaboration. Outside of academics, I enjoy baking and exploring the city.

My name is Hannah, and I am a senior mechanical engineering student. I am interested in 3D modeling, manufacturing, as well as transportation. I look forward to facilitating events for SWE-CCNY, working with my community, and meeting new people! Feel free to come by the SWE room and say hi!

Hi everyone! My name is Selina and I am a sophomore at the Grove School of Engineering, majoring in computer science and minoring in economics. I am excited to be this year’s sponsorship chair, helping SWE land cool opportunities with companies and to help us get funding so we can do awesome things. I joined SWE so I can build meaningful connections with others, attend enriching events and experiences, and to have that support and community Society of Woman Engineers provides.

Hello everyone! My name is Ruhama Siddiqui and I am the Design Chair for SWE. I am a sophomore majoring in Environmental Engineering, and I am primarily interested in water resources and water filtration. Some of my hobbies and interests include reading, crocheting, and watching shows on Netflix. I joined SWE because I wanted to find my community of other females interested in engineering, and I am excited to be a part of an organization working towards empowering women in STEM!

Web Design Chair

I am a junior majoring in Environmental and Earth System Science with hydrology and climate concentration. I am very proud of the work and everything SWE achieved over the years and as the Web Design Chair I strive to contribute to the efforts and success of SWE’s mission. I am very excited about the upcoming journey with our SWE team and all the opportunities we will explore. Fun fact: I spend my birthday every year at the Hayden Planetarium at AMNH!
